Dockyard Time Clock

Clocking-in machine. The Dockyard Time Clock was used daily by workers of the dockyard. Prior to its installation, when entering the dockyard the work force had to collect a metal ticket with their works number on it and put it in a box before work time commenced. This system only ended when it changed to clock cards and a punch clock system in 1932.
